Credit Intern

The Credit Intern will learn Cycle Connect’s credit processes, professional standards and ethical practices while supporting Credit Officers, serving walk-in clients and prospects, assisting with data collection and reporting, and contributing to general office operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Learn Cycle Connect’s loan processes and procedures and develop knowledge of standard credit business practices.

  • Maintain ethical and professional conduct in all work and client interactions.

  • Provide support to Cycle Connect Credit Officers throughout the loan cycle.

  • Serve as a contact person for walk-in clients and prospective customers at the office.

  • Receive and support office visitors with the information they require.

  • Escalate client information and issues to the appropriate persons or offices.

  • Conduct surveys, data collection, data entry and necessary report writing.

  • Support general office and administrative duties.

  • Undertake other duties that may arise.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, Microfinance, Business Administration, Social Work and Social Administration, or another related course from a recognised university or college.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong organisational skills.

  • Analytical skills.

  • Fluency in English and Luo, including Acholi or Langi.

  • Ability and/or willingness to ride a motorcycle.

What to Expect

Work close to the communities we serve.

The role will be based within the Acholi or Lango sub-regions. Approximately 50% of working time may be spent in the field, with normal working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
