Joash is an experienced researcher, with over 13 years work experience in applied research, and financial inclusion. Prior to joining Cycle Connect, Joash previously led a number of research projects at the CGIAR program (Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security), whose main aim was to strengthen agricultural production in East Africa by catalyzing access to appropriate adaptation options to climate change and sustainable financial solutions. At Digital Divide Data, Joash led randomized control trials experiments which include; product development and financial inclusions in eight African countries. Joash is passionate about innovative agricultural finance models and products for smallholder farmers. Joash has professional training in Results Measurement using the DCED Standard from DevLearn, UK; Livelihoods and Market from Coady International institute, St Francis Xavier University, Canada and also, a Certified International Trainer of Trainers (ToT) in Mobilizing Assets for Community Driven Development from Gordon Institute of Business Science, University of Pretoria, South Africa. He holds an M.Sc. in Quantitative research methods from Maseno University College in Kenya.
